Rittenhouse Realty Advisors has named George D Johnson, Jr, President & CEO of their new division, Rittenhouse Capital Advisors. Johnson has over 30 years of experience in financing a wide range of commercial and multifamily real estate.
Rittenhouse Realty Advisors has been focused on strategic growth in the multifamily and commercial real estate arena since opening in February 2013. Johnson, along with several other new hires, will lead the team’s efforts as they expand into the debt placement sector. “Launching Rittenhouse Capital Advisors allows us to provide both debt and equity to our existing clients. The ability to offer a wider array of services compliments our investment sales platform and is a strong value add for our existing client base,” stated Corey Lonberger, Managing Partner at RRA.
Johnson joins the firm after six years with JP Morgan Chase, where he focused on multifamily and commercial balance sheet lending. Through the economic downturn, Johnson was tapped by senior management to take a lead role in REO and oversee the disposition of over 50 bank owned assets in Pennsylvania and Florida.
Prior to joining Chase, Johnson spent 10 years at Column Financial / Credit-Suisse First Boston, originating CMBS loans on multifamily, retail, office, industrial, healthcare and hospitality properties across the country.
Previously, Johnson held roles as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Manager for the nation’s top SBA lender (TMSIC) and began his career in debt placement with Philadelphia based Frankel Associates.
In his new role with RCA, Johnson will focus on sourcing commercial real estate loans and equity for Rittenhouse Realty’s clients, both on the buy-side as well as refinance, leveraging extensive lender relationships developed over the years with the most active banks, CMBS and agency lenders in the region.
“We are very excited about the addition of George Johnson to the team. His experience and relationships, both on the client side and throughout the lending community, will help us to deliver superior service to our clients,” noted Ken Wellar, Managing Partner at RRA.
